Inspirational Hanging Scrolls
 The scrolls are made using a heavy weight (180 - 210 gsm) card stock of hand-made Indian paper crafted from recycled cotton rag with banana leaf, sugar cane & rice straw, and jute fiber. Paper size is approx. 8" x 12". The natural elements in this artists' paper give it a stunning visual appeal with lots of texture, a slightly coarse tooth and deckled edges and printed using a beautiful Bergell script that was inspired by the art of Alberto Giacometti.
Distinctive and striking, these scrolls come packaged in a fabric sheath of silk, linen, brocade or jacquard that is fully lined and closes with a drawstring. They make great bags for jewelery, travel or to package a gift in.

Scroll #110
May the long time sun
Shine upon you,
All love surround you,
And the pure light within you
Guide your way on.
- Traditional Gaelic Blessing |
Scroll #111
Deep Peace of the running wave to you.
Deep Peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep Peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep Peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep Peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you -
Deep Peace to you.
- Traditional Gaelic Blessing

Scroll #112
God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
The courage to change the things I can;
And the wisdom to know the difference.
- R. Neibuhr
|
Scroll #113
Look well to this day, for it is life.
The very best of life.
In its brief course lie the realities and truths of existence,
the joy of growth, the splendour of
action, the glory of power.
For yesterday is but a memory. And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well lived
makes every yesterday a memory of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.
- Ancient Sanskrit Poem
|
Scroll #114
You cannot be grateful and bitter.
You cannot be grateful and unhappy.
You cannot be grateful and without hope.
You cannot be grateful and unloving.
So just be grateful.
- Unknown
|
Scroll #115
Gratitude bestows reverence;
allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies,
those transcendent moments of awe
that change forever
how we experience life and the world.
- John Milton
|
Scroll #116
May you be filled with loving kindness.
May you be well.
May you be peaceful and at ease.
May you be happy.
-Ancient Tibetan Buddhist Blessing
|
Scroll #117
Drink your tea slowly and reverently,
as if it is the axis
On which the world earth revolves -
slowly, evenly, without
rushing toward the future.
Live the actual moment.
Only this moment is life.
-Thich Nat Hahn
|
Scroll #118
Let your love flow outward through the universe,
to its height, its depth, its broad extent.
A limitless love, without hatred or enmity.
Then as you stand or walk, sit or lie down,
as long as you are awake,
strive for this with a one-pointed mind;
your life will bring heaven on earth.
Sutta Nipata - The Buddha
|
Scroll #119
I am the dust in the sunlight, I am the ball of the sun...
I am the mist of morning, the breath of evening...
I am the sparkle in the stone, the glint of gold in the metal...
The rose, and the nightingale drunk with its fragrance.
I am the chain of being, the circle of the spheres,
the scale of creation, the rise and the fall,
I am what is and is not...
- Rumi
|
Scroll #120
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and you shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened to you.
For whoever asks, receives;
and he who seeks, finds;
and to him who knocks, the door is opened.
matthew 7:7:8 - Jesus of Nazareth |
Scroll #121
Lord, you are my lover,
My longing,
My flowing stream,
My sun,
And I am your reflection.
the soul speaks to god - mechthild of magdeburg - 13th century |
Scroll #122
What lies behind us
and what lies before of us
Are but small matters
Compared to what lies within us.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
|
Scroll #123
Our revels now are ended. These are actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits, and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve,
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind.
We are such stuff
As dreams are made of; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
-William Shakespeare
|
Scroll #124
It is not because things are difficult
that we do not dare;
it is because we do not dare
that they are difficult.
- Seneca
|
Scroll #125
If we are not happy and joyous at this season,
For what other season shall we wait
And for what other time shall we look?
- Abdul-Bahai
|
Scroll #126
Every morning when I get up, the first thing I decide is:
What do I want?
Misery? Blissfulness?
What am I going to choose today?
And it happens that I always choose blissfulness.
It is my choice, it is my life.
- Abdullah
|
Scroll #127
The beauty of the trees,
the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass,
speaks to me.
The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea,
speaks to me.
The strength of the fire,
the taste of salmon,
the trail of the sun,
and the life that never goes away,
they speak to me.
And my heart soars.
- Chief Dan George
|
Scroll #128
And joy is everywhere;
It is in the Earth's green covering of grass;
In the blue serenity of the Sky;
In the reckless exuberance of Spring;
In the severe abstinence of grey Winter;
In the Living flesh that animates our bodily frame;
In the perfect poise of the Human figure, noble and upright;
In Living;
In the exercise of all our powers;
In the acquisition of Knowledge;
In fighting evils...
Joy is there
Everywhere.
- Rabindranath Tagore
|
Scroll #129
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
-T.S. Eliot, the Four Quarters
